Sometimes the hardest part of trying a new feature like Facebook or Instagram Ad Campaigns is getting started. Finding the right product to showcase, writing engaging copy, and finally launching an ad can be daunting. (The launch-and-wait feeling that comes with setting up a Facebook ad even inspired our new "Freddie High Five" animation.) Whether or not you've had the chance to launch an ad in MailChimp, we thought we'd share a success story from e-commerce user Fowler's Chocolates to inspire you to create some ads of your own. Fowler's found that combining email with Facebook ads gave a 1-2 punch to their marketing. They ran their first ad in MailChimp toward the end of a store promotion to target an audience similar to their email contacts, looking to find last-minute shoppers they could turn into repeat customers. This first $150 ad netted $415 in sales—a 176% ROI—and gained 10 first-time buyers.
